As a working journalist for 40 years, I have been trained to look beyond the obvious. My hope is that my paintings do just that, bringing the art lover into a space and allowing them to feel like they are there. I do custom artwork, taking your favorite images and creating an artistic interpretation.
I was Vice President of News with Hearst Television for many years, working with news organizations around the country. As journalists, we are storytellers, chronicling the lives of people in our communities, holding the powerful accountable.
I was drawn to painting for reasons I can't explain. But I find that each painting is like a story. A beautiful scene that evokes a memory, a sunset that makes you exhale. Something that makes you smile. The stories of our lives forever written on canvas.
I am a relatively new painter. I am privileged to be taking private lessons from renowned New England artist Donald Jurney. I have taken several classes at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston , several with artist Linda Hoetink. I look forward to continuing on this artistic journey and seeing where it takes me.
